The Real Danger of Stress

We are all aware of the many effects that stress can have on the body. Such things as high blood pressure, heart disease and failure, as well as hurting the immune system. These effects are dangerous as we age, and are real potential killers in their own rights.

For many years some in the medical profession have believed that stress is more of a psychological thing than a real medically proven incident. The truth is that stress is medically proven and does harm the system if it has to endure high stress situations for too long.

Hormones are excreted when an individual becomes stressed. It is these hormones that cause the damage to the other components of the human system. The hormones come from the adrenal glands. These hormones are then dispersed throughout the system causing the heart to pump harder, the blood to be pushed to the extremities, as well as harming the immune system, one of those slow ventures that can work it’s way through the body and cause irreparable harm..

It has been found that excess stress continues to pump these adrenal hormones into the human system and then tend to cause harm to it. When we do not take the time to unwind and relax, we cause harm to our systems that may prove to be irreversible. It is important for us to take time off and pamper ourselves and our system.

Ensuring that stress is reduced as much as possible, there are a number of techniques that can be employed. Yoga, exercise and even a soak in a hot tub can all offer the needed stress relief that is necessary to save and repair the system.
