It is common knowledge that catheters are used throughout the medical world to help deliver fluids to a patient, take fluids away, and facilitate various other functions throughout the body. To confirm their place and many doctors rely on in X-ray to track them. Dr. Saad Saad believes that there was an easier way to track these devices and set out to prove it. He eventually did by inserting an electromagnetic tip into the ends of these catheters. Once this had been adjusted, the doctors would then be able to confirm the location with a small device. This device would allow them to check the location of the catheter no matter where the patient was located. Not only did this cut down on needless x-raying of the patient, but it also allowed the doctors to utilize their time with the patient effectively.
