Drinks With Dinner: Cheap Whiskey and Fine Scotch

Scotch or cheap whiskey? Decisions, decisions. I will tell you what is great for a good night, even if they are not necessarily the most popular scotch brands. Forget all the rest of these crappy brands. Ardbeg Uigeadail is a scotch that has a silky feel that is sweet and dry with a honey taste. Ardbeg Uigeadail usually runs for around $60.00 a bottle. Laphroaig Quarter Cask is the second scotch on my list, it is known for its double maturation process, and it is definitely a good cheap whiskey if you want to drink well on a budget.

It radiates a toffee and caramel taste that comes from vanillas and american oak. You can buy it aged 15 years old, 18 years old, or 25 years old. Enough of this fancy stuff. Lets talk about the best cheap whiskey. My favorite cheap whiskey has to be Wild Turkey 101. Nothing will give you a better night wondering how much damage you caused, in a good way. If you are looking for a cheap buzz that has to be the number one choice.

If that isn’t an option you are happy with you can always go with some SoCo. Southern Comfort will have you feeling like Paula Dean in her prime. With it’s sweet taste it makes you relish every moment. If you still aren’t happy with your liquor cabinet then just add some good old Jim Beam Black Bourbon to it. Around since 1795 the Jim Beam brand knows how to properly make whiskey with their unique bourbon making process. This concludes my list of suggestions for the drinker on a budget or not, but remember ingredients are important.  So if you’re adding OJ, stick with the best orange juice brands, don’t subject yourself to garbage.
